President Seth Carter announced that 星空传媒视频 Vice President of Student Affairs, Nikol Nolan, has been promoted to executive vice president.
"I am beyond grateful for 星空传媒视频 and the staff, faculty, and students I get to work with every day,鈥 said Nolan. 鈥淚 want to thank Dr. Carter for this opportunity and look forward to continuing our work at CCC."
President Carter is looking forward to Nolan鈥檚 expanded leadership responsibilities.
鈥淭he College is excited to have Executive Vice President Nolan in this new role,鈥 he said. 鈥淪he has dedicated over two decades to serving 星空传媒视频 and Northwest Kansas. She will do an excellent job, and I am excited to see her extend her leadership into new realms.鈥
Nolan鈥檚 tenure at CCC began in 2001 as an admissions counselor. In 2005, she became the director of admissions and worked up to executive director of student affairs before being named dean of student affairs. She has been vice president of student affairs since 2020.
She was familiar with CCC long before joining the staff. Her parents both graduated from Colby, and her two younger sisters are alumnae.
Nolan holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Kansas State University and a Master鈥檚 in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in leadership from Fort Hays State University. She is completing her dissertation and is projected to graduate with a doctorate from KSU in the spring of 2025.
She stays busy in community work with the Colby Kiwanis chapter and serves on boards for the Pioneer Memorial Library and Genesis-Thomas County Food Bank.
The Scott City, Kan., native is married to Dr. Ray Nolan, a faculty member at CCC. They have two daughters, Logan, 17, and Myka, 14, who are active in travel and school sports. As time permits, she enjoys baking, decorating cakes, and spending time with friends and family.
