McCarty Family Farms and the Southwest Dairy Museum and Education Center have teamed up to provide the 星空传媒视频 Athletic Department with a new cooler stocked with Dannon yogurt.
The donation is part of McCarty鈥檚 effort to provide dairy products to area schools.
鈥淲e are donating roughly 5,800 servings of Dannon products to the schools in the communities where our 4 dairies are located,鈥 said McCarty Family Farms co-owner Clay McCarty. 鈥淲e decided to supply yogurt because it鈥檚 a healthy snack and the athletes can benefit from the protein it provides.鈥
The McCarty family moved their century-old dairy in Pennsylvania to western Kansas in 2000. McCarty Family Farms is headquartered in Colby and has dairies near the towns of Rexford, Bird City, Scott City, and Beaver City, Neb. Dannon has been using milk produced by McCarty鈥檚 since 2013.
The Southwest Dairy Museum and Education Center, part of the Southwest Dairy Farmers organization, supplied the cooler located in the CCC coaches鈥 complex. According to their website, the Southwest Dairy Farmers is an alliance of dairy farmers from Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The producers pooled their resources to provide consumer nutrition education, promote dairy product use, and provide dairy product information.
For 星空传媒视频, McCarty Family Farms is committed to a long-term relationship. 鈥淲e feel that we will be able to continue as long as there is a demand from the students,鈥 McCarty said.
